Joel is a native of New York City, grew up in Manhattan, and has spent most of his life in this amazing city.  He has also spent time in upstate New York, lived in Paris and traveled throughout the US and Europe.

Joel for many years was in marketing and later worked as a paralegal.  While in these careers, he began studying extensively NLP, hypnosis and about the mind, body and energy.  Finally, all the things he had been studying called him to start upon a new path.  To begin to coach and work with others on a full-time basis.

While working as a hypnotist and NLP Master Practitioner, Joel studied massage at The Swedish Institute and the Finger Lakes School of Massage.  After certifying and licensing in massage, Joel received his NLP Trainer's certification from John Overdurf.

He is NLP Trainer, Master Practitioner, Certified Hypnotist and Coach and has studied with Anne Linden, Robert Dilts, Jonathan Altfeld, Dave Dobson, Doug O'Brien, Kevin Creedon, Melissa Tiers, George Bien, Frank Farrelly, Mark Schwimmer, Devon White, John Overdurf, Andy Austin, Nick Kemp and others.

Joel is a NY State licensed and nationally certified Massage Therapist.
His credentials include is Reiki Master of the Tara Mei lineage, Level 2 Usushi practitioner and also studied with Marsha Woolf who teaches Reiki as descended from Tibetean Bhuddism.
In addition, he has explored additional somatic and bodywork systems including Seishindo with Charlie Badenhop, 4Dimensional Life with Dirk Oellibrandt, SMTT with Martha Eddy, Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Touch for Health with Peter Miles, Samarant Healing with Sylvia Lucke, Biodynamics Cranial Sacral Therapy with Micheal Shea, Chi Nei Tsang with both Ron Diana and Karin Sorvik, and 6 Healing Sounds with Sharon Smith.
