About speaking in front of our Meetup Groups.

For the past year we have been bringing various sized Meetup groups with related interests in holistic and alternative practices together to create new connections and to share information and speakers

It's been fun and exciting. We've had some great meetings and presenters. Typically, we have between 15-30 people attend The list of Meetup groups involved (see below) means that your name is potentially reaching almost 2000 Meetup members.

Since we have a diverse set of interests from the various groups, My plan for each Mashup is to have different mix of speakers on alternative health, energywork, bodywork, etc. Speakers are given 20-30 minutes to present.

The calendar and email announcements carry a short 2-3 paragraph description of what each speaker will present about. We try and keep a relatively short email that can easily read by members.

And if there is any additional materials or longer pieces of information you want to provide the members, we add links in the email & calendar announcements to the message boards of the various groups and websites of the presenters so interested Meetup members can find out more info about each speaker.

We are also looking to videotape the various talks and are currently considering opportunities to make audio and video clips available on venues such as YouTube.  We are also exploring ways of selling taped materials.


If you are interested in speaking, and as we approach the Meetup date you are going to speak at, I will I need is a 2-3 short set of paragraphs about what you are going to talk about. I try and get publicity out at least 2 weeks before an event if not earlier, but sometimes that varies. And any longer materials you want to add for the linked announcement.
